Florida VegOut 2010
A special retreat celebrating Animals, People and the Earth
Presented By: VegEvents
March 25-28, 2010
Veg Events was founded in 1987 as an educational and activist organization
to promote veganism, environmentalism, and animal liberation. We
hold the belief that each sentient animal has a right to his or
her body and life. To that end, we advocate veganism, which encompasses
lifestyle choices that do not contribute to animal exploitation
and death....We seek to inform people of the many ways animals suffer
as a result of the American way of living and believe compassionate
people will end their support of these practices once they are aware.
A vegan uses no animal-source food or clothing: o flesh, fish, fowl,
eggs, milk, or dairy items, honey, etc. A vegan wears no leather,
wool, fur or silk.
Health: Vegans are less likely to suffer heart disease, cancer,
obesity, osteoporosis, and other health problems.
Compassion: Many people choose veganism because
they no longer believe in raising and killing animals for food and
clothing.
Environment: Livestock production, or factory
farming, consumes vast resources such as land, water, and grains,
contributing to world hunger, rainforest destruction, soil erosion,
global warming, and significant pollution.
